Living in the city of bridges has its perks. Flowing rivers catering to commerce and leisure activities with bridges connecting the south or north shores to the city center. A mountain overlooking the golden triangle and surrounding areas gives the perfect opportunity to capture the rolling hills.

PITTSBURGH BARS/CLUBS

I have had the privilege of taking pictures in some of Pittsburgh most active bars/nightclubs. Using the ever-changing lighting and environment I try to capture interesting images before they disappear. Usually shooting thousands of images in a night to only find a couple handful that correctly capture the vibe of the night.

I took a trip to Washington, D.C. late October 2010 for a concert and decided to stay a few days to tour the city. This was my first time visiting my nations capitol and I ventured out during the day to take some pictures of the National Mall and back again after dark to get a different perspective of the area.

While I was in town, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert held their Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear on the National Mall. I stayed an extra day to experience being in the crowd for one of these events and took some pictures of the crowd.

The first project for a field production class at Robert Morris University was completely open ended. Topic, length, style was complete up to us students as a way for the professor to gauge our current abilities and help structure the class.I followed my roommate Clark and his cousin Andy to Ohio Dreams Action Sports Camp on one of their trips to use their summer skiing ramp.
The ramp at the time was constructed out of wood and then covered with a white outdoor carpet. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels could come to this artificial mountain and practice tricks, landing safely in a pool below. An attendant would trigger one of 3 sets of jets under the water to bubble before the skiier would hit the water to break the surface tension to soften the fall.

it’s been months since I did any work on this site. finally got around to upgrading to 3.x WordPress while sitting at Steeler Training camp in the middle of a field.the future is truly here.
updated some navigation issues and added some new content. going to try and redo how videos are posted next then move in to posting some content from my work at FOX53

During a introduction to Flash class we were given the task of designing a micro site for a collection of Burt’s Bees products. Embedded below are two still mockups for the micro site and links to the Flash-driven horizontal and vertical ads.
The project plays off of a bee’s hive theme. Each link from the main page would go to a more detailed page about a certain product or information on Burt’s Bees as a company.
Each of the banner ads are designed to tell the reader to just ‘Bee’ natural and to “Come Explore Our Hive” – inviting them to the micro site to find out more about Burt’s Bees.

The Television and Video Teacher Consortium holds an annual awards ceremony for area high school students to have their years works rewarded for outstanding work in one of 11 categories.
As a college sophomore I was asked to create the graphic templates to be used during the show. I used a simple background still from an editing program’s template loops and just changed the color for each category.

During my sophomore year of college at Robert Morris University I was given the task to refresh the graphic templates used for the student-produced news. They were used for at least the next three years, even after I stopped being a student producer.
